Stratum appoints Linda de Mello to Board of Trustees

The Stratum Health System Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda M. de Mello to the board.

Linda has enjoyed a successful career as a leader in higher education and health care. She is a visionary who excels at strategic thinking, team-building and collaboration. She is Manager of the Cross College Alliance, an innovative collaboration between University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee; New College of Florida; State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota; Ringling College of Art + Design; and The Ringling Museum/Florida State University. Previously, Linda worked at University of South Florida as Director, Strategic Initiatives and Organization Development at USF Health College of Nursing, and Director, University Special Projects at USF Sarasota-Manatee.

Linda is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota and serves as member of the Suncoast Nursing Action Coalition, a group committed to creating a diverse, highly educated and skilled nursing workforce in our region. She also serves as president of the Board of Directors of the International Women’s Forum Florida Suncoast. Linda came to Sarasota from San Francisco, where she served as the President and CEO of The ALS Association Greater Bay Area Chapter.

Stratum, the parent company of Tidewell Hospice and other affiliated healthcare organizations, is governed by a group of seven voluntary Board of Trustees members. Thomas Stuhley, a retired banker and a member of the Caldwell Trust Company Board of Trustees, serves as the Stratum Board Chair.
