Stratum, The Paradise Center Announce Longboat Key Partnership

Stratum, The Paradise Center announce Longboat Key partnership

Stratum Health System, the parent company of Tidewell Hospice, is pleased to announce its partnership with The Paradise Center to create a full-service, year-round medical, social and recreation center on Longboat Key.  The location will be at the building previously occupied by Northern Trust at 540 Bay Isles Road, which will serve as the new home for The Paradise Center, the Center for Healthy Living Clinic and various offices that support health and wellness for Longboat residents and visitors. The Paradise Center is currently housed inside Temple Beth Israel.

Upon learning of the need for these services on Longboat Key, Stratum agreed to work with the Center for Healthy Living to arrange for and connect health care services at the clinic with the residents and visitors on LBK. Stratum Health System is a family of companies dedicated to the continuum of care, including Tidewell Hospice, Approved Home Health, Connexis Medical Services and Avidity Home Health.

Medical specialists will be housed at the clinic, based on the needs of Longboat Key and the surrounding areas. Discussions are underway with orthopedists, hearing specialists and dermatologists, to name a few, regarding services in the clinic.

Additional tenants will include Fitness Quest Physical Therapy, the Center for Brain Health and Jewish Family & Children’s Service of the Suncoast (JFCS); all of which are currently located at the Centre Shops on Longboat Key. “Having doctors, social support and a real community center all in one building on Longboat Key is ideal. We are thrilled to be partnering with Stratum Health to provide year-round activities, education and wellness support to the residents of Longboat Key,” said Suzy Brenner, Executive Director of The Paradise Center. “Not only are we an underserved population in regard to medical services, but there is an epidemic among seniors of loneliness and isolation and we are in a position to alleviate both of these crises.”

“Stratum is excited to partner with the Paradise Center, the Center for Healthy Living and Longboat Key to better serve the community’s health care needs,” said Stratum President and CEO, Jonathan Fleece.  “Whether through direct health care delivery models, partnerships or affiliations, Stratum connects people to the resources and care they need.”

Renovations of the building will begin shortly and a grand opening is anticipated during the summer.
